About

Bernhard Anton Josef Hadriga is an Austrian guitarist and improviser with roots in Lower Austria’s northeastern
Weinviertel. He completed studies in Jazz and popular music (BA), as well as Jazz and improvised music (MA), with honours with distinction in Vienna and Linz with Martin Koller and Robert Pockfuß.

As a freelance artist based in Vienna, Bernhard Hadriga pursues the development of the electric guitar’s vocabulary in the context of electroacoustic and electronic aesthetics, exploring the modular properties of the instrument. Abstraction and extended playing techniques sit at the core of the toolkit. Hadriga works interdisciplinarily as a musician, live and in studio, as well as a video and television producer.
